About Me
I’m 24. Grew up in eastern North Carolina and now live outside of Tucson, Arizona.
I married my long time sweetheart when I was 19 and have been an Air force wife ever since. It’s not an easy life but I have to say that I am proud to be living it. Though, I would prefer that there were no reasons for the military in the first place. Yea, I’m kind of one of those “World Peace” kind of girls.
Thomas and I welcomed our beautiful daughter, Lillian Michele into the world in August of 2008. There aren’t really words to describe our love and life with her here. It took our relationship to a whole new level, deepened our heart and opened our minds. Being a parent is amazing but being this little girl’s parent is just beyond anything we could have ever dreamed of!
For the silly stuff… I’m really laid back. Like to spend my time with family and friends. I’m kind of a WWII nerd and prefer Non-fiction or memoirs to ‘best sellers’. I have a few tattoos and don’t really ever get into “fashion” or anything like that. I just kind of wear what I’m comfortable in and what I think looks good on me. Usually just jeans, a shirt and flip flops. I listen to a lot of music and love to expose Lily to something other than what’s on the radio. We have a pretty good time dancing around the house or jamming in the car together:) I love being outdoors; from camping or scuba diving to taking a walk or floating around in the breakers with my daughter. I’ve come to realize that I’m in the minority that actually prefers the NC humidity to the AZ ‘dry heat’. And I’m the kind of girl that opens the door to let the fly out of the house but I can admit that I do get some weird satisfaction out of squashing mosquitoes.
I love lifestyle photography. I mostly shoot Lily in her day-to-day going-ons but I’d love to be a traveling photojournalist or marine life photographer one day. I think photography will always be in my life but I don’t want to make my living from it. I hope to go to school to become a midwife after my children are older and Thomas isn’t deploying so often. But that’s all years and years from now. Today I’m just enjoying being able to cultivate this interest into a talent that gives me the ability to freeze my baby girl’s life into little memories that she and I will be able to look back on for the rest of our lives. I hope to be able to do the same for you if you would let me:)
