I finally got my new 35mm f/1.4L the other day:)
Took Lily and the lens on a little hike through the woods at the park I grew up going to.
Lily was less than thrilled. She was spooked by the birds and squirrels running through the pine needles.
She would muster up enough courage to let go of my hand and wander off just to find herself running as fast as she could to throw her arms around my legs and bury her face.
She eventually got comfortable and trusted me enough when I told her that she was safe and that I wouldn’t let anything happen to her.
She spent a good hour just dancing and sprinting through the woods. It was beautiful.
But the humidity and mosquitoes caught up to us and she started to get frustrated and eventually just dropped to the deck and refused to get up and follow me anymore. No screaming. No cries for help or attention. Just laid down and stared at the trees until I came back for her.

My little girl has become quite the little momma lately!
She’s still fiercely committed to that raggedy stuffed bear but has added a new baby girl to her growing brood.
She changes their diapers, gives them their pacifiers, bottles and blankies and takes them for adventurous strolls through the neighborhood.
I can still remember what it felt like to love my baby dolls so unconditionally. It’s mind-blowing to see my own daughter now start this beautiful phase in her own life.
I love being her mother.

Still working on the blog. Hopefully I’ll get it all straightened out in the next day or two.

…so very happy to be in North Carolina again.

Haven’t updated in a while. I will be re-doing the entire blog soon so I’ll be posting a lot more once I can actually stand to look at it again haha.

I still haven’t really been shooting much. This week has been pretty busy getting ready for our cross-country drive to North Carolina coming up on Monday. But we snuck off and met my friend Vonessa and her son, Tristan at the Tucson Zoo for a little morning adventure:)

I’m sorry that I haven’t posted in so long. I haven’t really been shooting much. In a rut I guess. But today I snapped a few of Lily running around in the front of the house.

I’m selling my Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM.
I’m asking $1,500.00 for it and that includes the shipping and insurance.
It’s barely ever been used. But it’s a wonderful lens. Just not quite my style right now, chaising around a toddler!
I took a few pictures of Lily with it this evening and will take some pictures of the actual lens tomorrow to add.

Unfortunately my second CF card went missing this morning. It had the rest of the pictures on it, but I’ll take some more tomorrow of the little house hanging in our little tree.

Lily was spinning around the living room, dancing to a cartoon and lost her balance. She hit the corner of the TV stand and gashed her eyelid open. It was a long day. Luckily I had a friend visiting from CO there with me. UN-luckily it was her only day in town and we spent it in separate parts of the hospital:/
Lily was a trooper. It was horrible of course but she fought and never gave up fighting! She is too young to understand that they needed to put her in a little more pain and hold her down in order for them to make her feel better and fix her in the end. So I was very proud to see how hard she fought to get free… as weird as that may seem!
She’s been doing great ever since. The stitches come out tomorrow:)
