My sister, Haley and I will be heading up a little version of this project in North Carolina while I’m in town visiting over the summer.
We are still verrry much in the beginning stages of this process but we have hearts full of passion for this project and are so excited to be able to do something like this.

I has been on my heart for a long time. I’ve been in love with photography for so long. I’ve planned to make it my career. But the more and more I think about it. It’s just not something I see as a cash cow. Sure, if you want me to do pictures for you I would LOVE to and will charge for my time. I’m done belittling myself into thinking that I’m not good enough to be paid for what I do. BUT. I have come to the point in my life where I know that this will never be about money to me. Ever. I understand the worth of custom photography. But for me, I want my work to be about something more. And I have no idea what that means for me or my future with photography. All I DO know is that this feels like the first step in the right direction!
I love my sister for being able to see my heart and bringing this project to my attention, knowing that it was perfect for me!
I can not wait to stand next to her and bring this little project to life:)

My parents and youngest sister, Hunter flew in last night. Lily was a little unsure about them when they first got into the car. But she obviously warmed up to the idea. She was awake before 6:00 this morning and was so excited to play with everyone. She sat her Grammy Chele down for some breakfast and tea.

Sorry that I haven’t been posting much lately.  I kind of hate my blog design right now and my computer isn’t fixed yet.  Solution: Avoid blog at all costs.

Hopefully that will turn around soon:)

Just a few shots I grabbed last week. This is what the house looks like after the Lily Monster spends a day in it:)

I am trying to wrap my head around Lightroom 2 at the moment and it’s giving me a headache lol.  I’m hoping to take a little break from my wonderful Scott Kelby book, watch my Thursday night shows while Thomas takes a test and then get back to work.  I’ll post some new pictures of Lily tomorrow for all of you!  Thanks for your patience:)

Sorry that I have been so MIA lately:/ Things are going to be picking up around here, that’s for sure:)

I took these last month while we were at the Christmas event our community held for all of the children.
I had the hardest time choosing between the black and white or color conversions of these. I leaned more toward the black and whites but thought the color was just too pretty to toss. So the last two pictures are in both conversions;)

Thomas is always entertainment at its best for Lily girl! When they are outside he chases her and spins her around anddd sneaks her treats! She was running to him as fast as her little legs could get her to him! [He had root beer in his hand! ...and Lily loves root beer:)]

Here she was twisting from side to side [dancing] and humming/babbling [singing] along with the Christmas carols that were playing in the background:)

Then she took off! I was trying to call her name and get her to look at the camera as she ran by… This is the fake smile she flashed me:)

So I had to get up and run out in front of her and act like a crazy woman to get her attention:p

And here she is a little later enjoying some yummy chips in her stroller, watching kids ice skate!
